PARAGRAPHITI

Look at our website. Look how beautiful the art is, how sonorous the voices. That could be you there up on that pedestal with Mark Brazaitis, Johannes Göransson, Kim Hyesoon. Take a chance. We need bold writing. We need you. The aim of Paragraphiti is to open up whole new avenues into young, fresh, brave writing coming out of the Middle East and East Asia and Europe and the bowels of America, and to make sure that those pieces of writing are stunningly and lovingly framed with art, audio, and occasionally even video.

Petrichor Review

So show us something we’ve seen a million times, make it unrecognizable; hijack our attention. Toy with form, tweak it and coax it out from its dusty, smoke-filled parlor; teach it new tricks, and if you must be arbitrary, at least make it beautiful.

Postcard Poems and Prose

Who are we? Imagine a painter, photographer, novelist, and poet all running willy-nilly and meeting full-speed. That collision is Postcard Poems and Prose. We want you to find prose, poems, and art all in a 4×6 postcard format. We want you to be able to stand and look at that revolving wire rack that’s in every tourist trap on earth. We want you see it from your laptop or handheld device. Just like the postcards of yesteryear, we want you to be able to share that experience with friends. We want it to be quirky and personal. And we want it to be great.

Quarterly West

Quarterly West looks for writing that is: Exciting. Challenging. Risky. Unpredictable. And Different. I could say what different means, but then we might receive a slew of submissions that are all different in the same way. Different will be victim to form—to the “fragment sentence,” “non-linear plot,” and “hybrid genre”. Different will be slave to space, time, story and moment. This does not seem the way to open the door for Different.

r.kv.r.y. quarterly

We look for a story to tell us something universal about the human condition. Just because our theme is "recovery" doesn't mean that all of what we publish is about successful recovery. Often it's not the recovery story that says the most about the process of recovering. We like work that shows heart and depth of character.

Red Fez Publications

We obey no genre and take anything from limericks to fantasy to genres yet invented. Our key desires are originality, accessibility and quality. We like work with a point, something to say or some sort of inner majic that gives greater meaning to the pretty words and thrilling plots. That said, we're not really sure what we’re looking for until we've seen it, so give us a try. Published online monthly, Red Fez Publications features poetry and prose outside of the narrow, academic stream. Red Fez is committed to bringing light to underground and under-recognized writers and writing.

Red Savina Review

How does one judge authenticity in the literary arts? Intuition. And, if Heidegger was correct in his assumption that language is the house of Being, intuition, not logic, is the impetus of art and authenticity. Before we can come to either, it seems, we must purge those definitions attached to us like artificial appendages in public school, through mass media, in the university. The purpose of Red Savina Review is to record the writer’s struggle to wrest themselves from the bizarre marketplace of modernity in the quest to claim authenticity and thereby take a stand on Being.

Relief: A Christian Literary Expression

Our goal is to embrace real, gritty, painful, wonderful, this-side-of-heaven life. Too many Christian publications opt for clichés and placating expressions of the ideal. Relief seeks to bridge the gap between mainstream publishing and cotton-candy Christianity.
