Slice

Slice, a Brooklyn-based nonprofit print magazine, is the brainchild of two book editors with a firsthand view of how difficult it is for new authors to have their voices heard. We aim to spark a dialogue between emerging and established writers. In each issue, a specific cultural theme becomes the catalyst for short stories, articles, interviews, and poems from renowned writers and lesser known voices alike. We're looking for anyone with a fresh voice and a compelling story to share--basically any work that really knocks our socks off.

SNReview

For 18 years we have operated with limited financial and personnel resources. We have not had time to re-evaluate the reason for the publication's existence. We are now. In the mean time, the publication is in hiberation. The website will remain posted and print editions still are available from Lulu.com, our on-demand printer.

So to Speak, A Feminist Literary Journal

So to Speak, founded in 1993 by an editorial collective of women MFA candidates at George Mason University. So to Speak has served as a space for feminist writing and art for nearly twelve years. So to Speak publishes poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and visual art that lives up to a high standard of language, form, and meaning. We look for work that addresses issues of significance to women's lives and movements for women's equality and are especially interested in pieces that explore issues of race, class, and sexuality in relation to gender.

Songs of Eretz Poetry Review

We offer two opportunities for publication: the Review, published nearly every weekday and occasionally on weekends, and an annual Contest. Our mission is to feature and promote the poetry of our frequent contributors and guest contest judges and to attract, publish, and promote the good poetry of other good poets. We will consider previously unpublished poetry of any genre and length. Songs of Eretz is unique in that we feature the poet as much as the poetry. In addition, all submissions receive personal responses from the editor--a courtesy that is almost unheard of these days.
