SHARKPACK Poetry Review Annual

Linguistically and thoughtfully, it is the eldritch, the pithy, the electric, the gnostic, the visceral, the well-wrought, the purposefully experimental, and the expansive that are of interest to us. Irony is not of special interest. Popular currency is not of special interest. Cliché and expletives are usually anathema. We prefer the hard-fought and sincere to the ‘sexy’ and ‘edgy.’ We also sponsor the Prospero Prizes; OUR ALCHEMICAL VALENTINE for love poems; and VALUS' SIGIL for literature inspired by video games.

Cover_One.jpgShort, Fast, and Deadly

Short, Fast, and Deadly. An eLit Mag where brevity reigns and the loquacious are sent to contemplate their sins in the rejection bin. Don't be afraid. Write Short. Write Fast. Above all, write Deadly. You'll be fine. Short, Fast, and Deadly is published by Joseph A. W. Quintela. Fresh kills are posted on Sundays, ostensibly because it's on this day that God is too busy to notice.

Shot Glass Journal

Shot Glass Journal is an on-line poetry journal devoted to short poetry. Where other poetry journals publish poems of various lengths and forms, Shot Glass focuses on both free verse and form poetry of 16 lines or less. We believe in fostering emerging talent as well as publishing well established poets. Why only short poetry? It is far more difficult to capture a message in fewer words and still have an effect on a reader. Shot Glass is dedicated to those poets who have much to say in the fewest words possible. As William Shakespeare wrote in Hamlet, "...brevity is the soul of wit..."

The Sigh Press

The Sigh Press publishes work by writers of English (and visual artists who speak any language) in Tuscany. Each issue is uniquely curated and creatively adheres to a theme set for that issue. We publish approximately 4-6 writers and one visual artist per issue; these numbers include at least one to three debut writers/artists. We like sharp work written with wit and elegance, the essence of the story, the experience, the memory, condensed to an intoxicating gasp. We hope to shine a light on the wealth of writers of English in Tuscany.
