Kindred

We lean towards strong narrative, humor, exquisite language, a balance of the stunning and the raw, revelation, delicacy, depth, possibility, larger than life characters, unique settings, seeing into the life of things, the full and the empty, the deep power of joy, witty banter, and the triumph of kindness.

Kugelmass: A Journal of Literary Humor

Kugelmass publishes the best literary humor out there. We like work that is funny, but we're also believers that funny can be sad and poignant and gritty and whimsical. We like when funny gets dark or ambiguously inappropriate. We like our funny to jerk us from a daze and dangle something extraordinary in our faces, something that was there all along, but we couldn't see it.

Kweli Journal

Kweli celebrates cultural kinships and the role of the literary imagination. In our shared space, you will come to know the lived experience of people of color. Our memories are wrapped inside the music of the Muscogee, the blues songs of the South, the clipped patois of the Caribbean. In English and Spanish, Zulu and Tagalog, a useful past is lying down next to an ailing present. Listen. Grow. Lift. Kweli Journal is a quarterly literary publication.  We seek high quality literary work that is beautiful, sustaining, and profound.

Lalitamba

Lalitamba is a contemporary journal of international writings for liberation. From page to page, you’ll find the writings of saints, wanderers, prison inmates, and award-winning novelists. These are the mystics of our time. They challenge us to live and to love without hesitation. Lalitamba was inspired by a pilgrimage through India. In early 2004, we traveled from village to village, seeking to alleviate the suffering of poverty, illness, and plain loss of hope. The name Lalitamba comes from a devotional song. It means Divine Mother.

We’ll be publishing essays, memoir, fiction, travelogue, reportage, poetry, criticism, interviews… any creative form of writing, so long as it comes to us framed as a letter.

Madcap Review

Madcap Review is a semiannual online journal of art and literature.
