"the confrontation of aesthetics is the highest form of internet art. these people feel uncomfortable. what better measurement of art could you have? they should be made to feel uncomfortable. where they will fail, with very few exceptions, is they won't confront the reasons for their discomfort. they will rather insult and suppress."

The Write Place At the Write Time

Our publication was founded in 2008 upon the premise of creating a community-oriented atmosphere of art and literature that speaks deeply to the human experience. It is our personal touch, on everything from the feedback we give to our aesthetic to the relationships we cultivate with our contributors, that distinguishes our approach. We feature fiction, poetry, non-fiction, resources, essays, book reviews, contests, fine artwork and interviews that include best-selling authors such as Janet Fitch, Alice Hoffman, Arthur Golden, Frances Mayes, Sarah Ban Breathnach and Eric Weiner.

The Write Room

The Write Room publishes quality works of fiction, non-fiction, memoir, and poetry from new and established writers. We are also interested in reviews, interviews, and articles of interest to writers. Although not our main focus, we will publish literary events, competitions, and workshops.  In addition, we maintain a listing of grant opportunities and resources for writers that we deem legitimate and appropriate.
