Penny Ante Feud

Penny Ante Feud posits a unique proposition for the writer, who writes consciously, out in the open, in full acknowledgement of the audience: we do not know when our words might be our last, if we were about to die, or, in a literary sense, never pen another phrase. Therefore, we ask contributors to send us a single poem to simulate this most desperate and perfect act. The “dying words” tagline is not to be taken literally but purely in the sense that we do not get to choose how, and most of the time when, it will all end. That is to say, please don’t just send a poem about death.
