Dukool

Dukool Magazine is an international news and culture magazine. Translating roughly as "Two Shores," Dukool is for Asian-Indian expatriates living in the United States, abroad, but its audience is even broader than that. We are housed and published in the USA, and our bi-lingual content form has both a Bengali language and English side. As such, Dukool is the only magazine of its kind. We are actively seeking writers to join as contributors in fiction, poetry, and non-fiction.

Embers Igniting

Embers Igniting does three things: 1. Publishes real, relevant, radical writing and art for the glory of Christ. 2. Provides resources and topics of discussion for writers and artists. 3. Engages in the community of creators, both locally and globally. In writing, we look for the light in the darkness and the darkness in the light; deep truths revealed through good old fashioned story-telling; and humor that doesn’t try too hard and wit that cuts.

Emerge Literary Journal

We are a journal of print poetry and prose dedicated to emerging writers and their words now in our 4th year of publication. We aim to publish writers who are currently emerging on the literary scene. We recognize how hard it can be to get that first publishing credit and hope to be a foundation for the writers seeking to be published here. We love, prefer free verse and flash fiction–words with passion, voice, and place. We look for succinct images and dialogue that linger, narrative that we can take with us to bed at night, ideas used in magnificent ways. Bring us your castles.

EOAGH: A Journal of the Arts

EOAGH: A Journal of the Arts is concerned with reading as a process, the productive chaos of investigative poetic work. These acts of attention explore the close listening inherent not just in writing but also in being written. Inspired by Whitman's assertion that "Reading is a gymnast's act," we see readings as embodied, interdisciplinary responses that engage with one's environment through ekphrasis, phenomenology, queering, conceptual multiplicity, density and difficulty.

escarp

escarp explores the potential for super-brief literatures, via the immediacy of text-messages, to provide both writers and the general public with a literary appetizer--a ringing, vibrating love-note from the world of words.

EXPERIMEMENTOS

EXPERIMEMENTOS is designed to create a place for writers to send things that aren’t easily understood--writing full of universal vagaries and experimentation. Publication works differently than other magazines: by submitting, if your work is deemed not experimental enough, you agree to the editors turning your work into an experimental piece. Take a chance--give us your weirdest writing that you thought nobody would ever publish.

Fact-Simile

FACT-SIMILE publishes handmade books, trading cards, and a free, large-format annual magazine. We are driven by the unification of form and content. Through the physical performance of the text, we strive to expand the definition of and bringing awareness to the act of reading. FACT-SIMILE is also an 8.5 x 11 literary journal published annually.

Fickle Muses

Fickle Muses is an online journal of poetry, fiction and art engaged with myth and legend. We feature a poet or fiction writer each week, accompanied by featured artwork. Fiction and poetry submissions should creatively incorporate myth or legend, for example by retelling ancient myths in the context of the contemporary world, reimagining characters and events within earlier contexts, evoking mythologies underlying speculative genres, or otherwise cultivating new growth from our mythic roots. Art submissions are open to any theme or style.

Fiction Southeast

Our Mission Fiction Southeast is an online literary journal dedicated to short fiction. The mission of Fiction Southeast is to showcase fiction from today’s most promising writers, and to create an online literary journal that allows readers to quickly and easily access quality writing from their laptops, iPads, and cell phones. Since electronic reading devices (and to some extent laptops for that matter) make reading long pieces of writing less enjoyable, we have chosen to dedicate the journal to flash fiction.

First Class Lit

First Class is an online literary journal. We publish handwritten fiction, non-fiction, reviews, art, poetry, critical essays and other experimental forms that can fit on a postcard. Share your place, your language. Capture an illusive idea or intriguing memory. Speak to a new culture, city, landscape. Surprise us. You save a postcard because of the memory it triggers, because it carries meaning that extends far beyond its petite format. “I was thinking of you” becomes the origin of a story, the spot where the ordinary becomes epic, where the personal becomes shared.

Five 2 One Magazine

Established in 2011, our goal will always be to give light to the voices that are normally hidden from the literary magazine scene. We're mostly dedicated works of art that step way from the norm; that jump into the strange, unique, and unexpected. Five 2 One Magazine thrives on the works by our contributors who could be seen as the freaks, weirdoes, black sheep, and free thinkers of society. We're very much looking forward to reading your work.
