We especially like stories, poems, and non-fiction pieces that deal with the spiritual, progressive, regenerative, and transformative elements of life. We’re also highly drawn to works about religion, Israel/Palestine, the Mideast conflicts, and social justice. Please keep in mind that ours is a global, multi-faith readership, and while we appreciate non-English expressions, the language needs to be broadly accessible. |

We want writing that takes risks while still paying attention to craft. We are happy to see prose poems, stories that burst into poems, poems that burst into stories, etc. Mixing genres doesn’t scare us. Of course boring, self-involved, over-inflated pap turns us off. We publish poems, fiction, nonfiction, and plays. |

Women in REDzine We look for writing that is surprisingly exceptional, not necessarily the in your face brilliance, but the kind of writing that surprises you with story and a clear focus and voice. We love new writers, adore established writers, and embrace the I've-Never-Done-This-Before writers. If you have a story, a poem, an essay, or something that you haven't quite classified yet, but you think it could stand up to being read, then please submit it. Our staff loves to read! |

Mission: To publish the best writing, thought and information about work, or lack thereof, while providing a forum for readership to connect and respond. WORK is dedicated to celebrating the daily grind: white collar, blue collar, pink collar, sex work, food service, freelancing and more. WORK has an intentionally bland format, so that it can be enjoyed while you’re still on the clock. WORK is subversive, so you can be subversive at work. |
