Territory

Territory is a literary project about territories and the maps that will always fail to capture them. We want to understand the paradoxes created by these maps by understanding what inspires them. We invite writers, musicians, and other artists to respond to maps and the fallacies they engender, in turn creating secondary maps. We then present these two maps side-by-side as a means of getting at, but still failing to capture, the underlying territory.

theNewerYork Press

We publish very short, experimental fiction paired with art. We like weird forms of literature: letters, receipts, lists, flash-fiction, parodies, vignettes, and other literary absurdities. We do not publish any stanza-form poetry whatsoever. Our books are measured to fit in Levi’s back pockets and printed on high-quality, sustainable paper-stock. We are reader supported on Kickstarter.com and post stories on our website daily.

Thin Noon

Noon is a time that anticipates shadow, a time when light falls straight on necks and sundials. The light at noon offers analytical clarity; it also begins a heat through which the afternoon radiates. Noon is a dense, spare border that looks into the heart without abandoning the mind. This journal attempts to do the same by gathering cross sections of prose, poetry, nonfiction, and visual art.

Third Coast

Third Coast is one of the nation’s premier literary magazines—and one of only a handful of nationally distributed literary magazines to regularly include four genres. Third Coast consistently publishes excellent--and often award-winning--fiction, poetry, non-fiction, and drama. Work from Third Coast has appeared in the O Henry Award Series, The Pushcart Prize Series, Best American Poetry, and Best of the West: New Stories from the Wide Side of the Missouri.
