Southern Humanities Review

Southern Humanities Review publishes fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction. Translations in all genres have also appeared in the journal. SHR is currently undergoing a complete redesign, inside and out. Our new look debuts with Issue 48.2. The journal recently established the Auburn Witness Poetry Prize Honoring Jake Adam York, poet and Auburn University alum. $1,000 and publication in SHR will be awarded annually to one poem of witness by an American poet. The Southeast Review, established in 1979 as Sundog, is a national literary magazine housed in the English department at Florida State University and is edited and managed by its graduate students and a faculty consulting editor.
