The Letters Page

The Letters Page literary journal is published by the University of Nottingham School of English, and edited by writer in residence, Professor Jon McGregor. We’re interested in exploring what letter writing means to people - and has meant since writing was invented - in their literary cultures and their personal lives. We’ll be publishing essays, memoir, fiction, travelogue, reportage, poetry, criticism, interviews… any creative form of writing, so long as it comes to us framed as a letter.

Lexicon Polaroid

Lexicon Polaroid sews visual art & poetry together by the threads of personal interpretation. Mutability of language versus the comprehension readers, a cross between diction and depiction. We publish poems alongside their visual interpretations. The poets don’t know the artists who interpret their poems, artists don’t even know the names of the poets. The poem becomes fodder for visual creation. Some interpretations stray far from the intention of the poem, some illustrations stay true. LP is an experiment with elliptical tendencies of poetry and the art that it can inspire.

Lines + Stars

Lines + Stars began as a means of establishing a new creative forum in Washington, D.C., a city that all-too-often coasts solely on its more mechanistic pursuits. While many of our contributors hail from the D.C. area, we've also expanded our writer-base to include national and international voices. L+S Press is our chapbook-publishing arm.

LONTAR: The Journal of Southeast Asian Speculative Fiction

The editors of LONTAR are looking for quality literary writing with elements of the fantastic, which is in some way connected with the cultures, traditions, mythologies, folk religions, and/or daily life in Southeast Asia. While we are happy to look at works by writers outside of the region, we want to actively encourage Southeast Asian writers to submit their work.
