Red Fez Publications

We obey no genre and take anything from limericks to fantasy to genres yet invented. Our key desires are originality, accessibility and quality. We like work with a point, something to say or some sort of inner majic that gives greater meaning to the pretty words and thrilling plots. That said, we're not really sure what we’re looking for until we've seen it, so give us a try. Published online monthly, Red Fez Publications features poetry and prose outside of the narrow, academic stream. Red Fez is committed to bringing light to underground and under-recognized writers and writing.

Red Savina Review

How does one judge authenticity in the literary arts? Intuition. And, if Heidegger was correct in his assumption that language is the house of Being, intuition, not logic, is the impetus of art and authenticity. Before we can come to either, it seems, we must purge those definitions attached to us like artificial appendages in public school, through mass media, in the university. The purpose of Red Savina Review is to record the writer’s struggle to wrest themselves from the bizarre marketplace of modernity in the quest to claim authenticity and thereby take a stand on Being.

Red Wheelbarrow

Red Wheelbarrow (since 2000), formerly Bottomfish (from 1976)—published through De Anza College in Cupertino, CA. We believe that everything that crosses the transom merits deep attention. We believe that beauty and meaning will inhabit wildly varied and unexpected tones and styles. Our journal is well produced, eclectic, tough minded, open, lyrical, passionate—socio-politically engaged—and we value quiet & craft, the gaze into nature, the deft image, the startling leap, meditative consciousness—and great use of language. We honor and crave all of those qualities—in art—and in one another.
