We especially like stories, poems, and non-fiction pieces that deal with the spiritual, progressive, regenerative, and transformative elements of life. We’re also highly drawn to works about religion, Israel/Palestine, the Mideast conflicts, and social justice. Please keep in mind that ours is a global, multi-faith readership, and while we appreciate non-English expressions, the language needs to be broadly accessible. |

Poems written in repeating forms, poems that employ refrains. A key mission of the Tilt is to publish poems that breathe new life into traditional forms such as the villanelle and the rondeau. Tilt-a-Whirl is a "sporadical" which publishes whenever we have received enough good material for a substantive issue. It is archived not by issue but rather by poetic form; it is intended as a resource for the study and enjoyment of repeating form poetry |

TOS is now published by Wind & Water Press, and its purpose is to provide an outlet for literary Christian poetry, with "Christian" defined in the widest sense. Free verse and all forms are welcome. I encourage poets to take chances and write outside the religious box. Sermons that rhyme and greeting card style poems are not accepted. |
