SPACES Literary Magazine

This publication is a labor of love for all involved, artists of all kinds themselves, who firmly believe that art is not just vital, but necessary, on all levels to the health, success, and happiness of any society. We believe in collaboration, in community, in intersections and explorations, in the risks artists take on all our behalf. We believe in and will defend the freedoms required for artists to do that hard and beautiful work. We believe in the responsibilities artists have to their communities, and that communities have to their artists.

Spark: A Creative Anthology

From the editor: “My goal was to establish a high-quality, paying market where emerging authors and poets can gain professional experience alongside respected authors. We are looking for quality writing and artwork from any source, regardless of past publication history. We set the bar high in order to encourage young writers to continue to excel and develop their talents, and to maintain a publication to which established professionals are excited to submit.”

specs

specs (specifications, speculations . . .) is a journal that aims to produce a charged atmosphere around artistic and critical approaches. Hence, specs is willing to live in a constant state of flux, with the mission of propagating strange and involved sympathies between disparate genres and forms. We want to break down hierarchies between poems, fictions, and critical writing. We hope for seepages, warped conversations, and misappropriations between areas of content.
