The Louisville Review

The goal of the magazine continues to be to import the best writing to local readers, to juxtapose the work of established writers with new writers, and to export the best local writers to a national readership. Each poem and story submitted toTLR is judged entirely on its own merit whether the author is already nationally known or previously unpublished.

LUMINA

LUMINA, established in 2000, is the annual print publication of the Sarah Lawrence College graduate writing program. Every year, Lumina is greeted by a new editorial staff; as a result we are not tied to any style or subject matter. Instead, we seek the new, exciting and rule-breaking work from writers both established and emerging.

MadHat Lit

We’re particularly interested in risky, thematically broad (i.e., saying something about the world and its creatures), psychologically and philosophically sophisticated works. Humor, satire, irony, magical realism and surrealism are welcome. We look for originality, surprise, intellectual and emotional strength, lyricism and rhythm. We love writers who stretch their imaginations to the limits and challenge conventional notions of reality and style; we care little for categories. We also adore collaborative ventures, between/among writers, visual artists, and composers.

Mandala Journal

Mandala is a word which means 'circle' in Sanskrit. Mandala is a circle which holds the universe. Mandala is a journal of art and literature published each spring by the University of Georgia's Institute for African American Studies. We publish art, fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. We are a platform for explorations of race, gender, culture, and identity, and for a wide range of voices and experiences, and to that end, we publish all kinds - students and professors, dilettantes and old hands, Pushcart Prize winners and schoolkids, from our hometown of Athens, GA, and points beyond.

Manor House Quarterly

It is our purpose to establish a platform where mixed genres and forms can be woven together within a beautiful publication. Specifically, we seek the confluence of contemporary artifacts across many artful expressions. Each of our issues are themed, which provides contributing artists a new depth for their work as it is placed within the arch of a comprehensive idea. The conversation is ongoing and our contributors as well as our readers are invited into this co-evolving process.
