Nowhere Magazine

Founder and editor Porter Fox has worked as a travel journalist for 17 years. He created Nowhere with a group of like-minded writers, editors, producers, and designers to create a new kind of travel magazine—something more engaging, authentic, and diverse. The magazine publishes five to 10 articles in each issue, including travelogues, journal excerpts, profiles, conversations, reviews, and even notes… We illustrate stories with found objects brought back from the field and include multi-media elements with each piece.

NYSAI Press

NYSAI Press publishes Staten Island based literary journals featuring artists and writers with distinct voices from all over the world. We are city, we are suburbia; we are deformed, we are beautiful; we are America, and we are forever cut from the mainland. We are NYSAI Press and pledge to present it all, break it down, fuck it up, and move it forward.

O-Dark-Thirty

Every veteran and every military family member has a story. This site is where those stories get told. Sure, there are other places to hear or read the stories: around the bar, on a road trip, in some other journal. But like the man says, “This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine.” This is our journal. It was conceived by and designed for, is run by, features work written by, and provides voice to members of the military community.

Oblong

Oblong is an online and print publication founded in London in 2012. All themes are welcome; the only restriction is the word limit (< 1000 words). The online edition features a new piece of writing every Tuesday. An 8" x 5" print edition is published from time to time. In particular, we are looking for work that is rich in psychological insight and tightly written, lyrical but not overwrought. We also appreciate a bit of offbeat humour.
