Editorial Focus

The Coffin Factory serves as a nexus between readers, writers, and the book publishing industry. Our mission is to provide great literature and art to people who love books, including those who do not usually read literary magazines. We believe that quality literature and art are essential for the existence of an intelligent society. In order to perpetuate an intellectually engaged culture, The Coffin Factory publishes phenomenal fiction, essays, and art three times a year.

Tips From the Editor

The Coffin Factory cares about the future state of literature, and wants to help perpetuate the next generation of reading culture. That is why we have created The Library Donation Project, where we are donating 1,000 magazines to libraries across the country, counting on the generosity of readers to help us pay for the high cost of shipping. There is a $15 submission fee, which will go directly to The Library Donation Project, so that with each submission, you will be sending a copy of The Coffin Factory to a library. Send us your original fiction or essay under six thousand words. We are interested in only the strongest, most captivating fiction, and we are looking for essays that cultivate insight. The Coffin Factory does not accept unsolicited poetry.
