The journal is called Telephone, like the children’s game in which phrases
change as you whisper them from one person to the next. We feature a handful of
poems from one foreign poet in each issue, which are then translated roughly
ten times by multiple different poets and translators. There are no rules about
how each poem should be translated and we are hoping to solicit a variety of
interpretations.
Please do not send unsolicited translations. Please contact us if you are interested in participating in an issue of Telephone.
Please note: The information provided in this database is provided by the magazines listed in it.
