Editorial Focus

At Remarkable Doorways, we seek to publish any doorway you’ve created into another world, a character’s mind, or anything else remarkable. This includes prose, poetry, screenplays, art, comics, film, a mix of the six and anything in-between or beyond. We lean towards the literary, but we also love the weird. Give us character study, words we’ve never heard before, people with cat-faces, cats with people-faces, offbeat heartbreak, and the genuine juxtaposed with the insane. Open up a doorway for us, and we'll open one for you.

Tips From the Editor

Read our submission guidelines! No erotica. Any other genre is encouraged, but we lean towards a literary slant. Things we love: Lost, Arrested Development, Twin Peaks, Michael Chabon, Salinger, Stephen King, The Mountain Goats, weird stuff from the ’90s, pop culture references, Brick, Wes Anderson, cheesy teen dramas, the DIY punk scene–okay, we love too much. We might love what you’ve made, too. Do not send anything boring. See guidelines for length limits & everything else.
