Under the Gum Tree

Under the Gum Tree is a storytelling project, publishing creative nonfiction in the form of a micro-magazine. We believe in the power of sharing a story without shame. Too much of the human experience gets hidden behind constructed facades based on what we perceive the world expects from us. Stop hiding. Live a story. Tell it without shame. And by without shame, we mean that the authors and contributors featured in our pages own their story, even the ugly parts, and share it with pure, unadulterated, raw, candid vulnerability.

Unshod Quills

Unshod Quills is a quarterly literary and arts journal born to showcase the efforts of writers and artists huddled together against the lonely effort of creation. All contributions to Unshod Quills are based on topics assigned by the editors, and the art and writing on the website are connected by those themes.

Unsplendid

Our journal is soley interested in poetry in received forms (e.g. sonnets, triolets, terza rima, pantoums, sestinas) and nonce forms (those invented for the poem). We publish original texts, translations, reviews, and essays. We view this venture not as a partisan-like imposition of a particular aesthetic, but as establishing something akin to the radio station that "listeners" will turn to when they are in the mood to "hear" top-notch poetry written in meter and traditional or nonce forms.
