Editorial Focus

Kugelmass publishes the best literary humor out there. We like work that is funny, but we're also believers that funny can be sad and poignant and gritty and whimsical. We like when funny gets dark or ambiguously inappropriate. We like our funny to jerk us from a daze and dangle something extraordinary in our faces, something that was there all along, but we couldn't see it.

Tips From the Editor

Two words: Be funny. Beyond that, we like works that goes beyond mere funniness, that speaks to something greater about the human experience and condition. We like Something that makes us laugh, preferably out loud at least three times and in the meantime makes me well up in tears when it was not making me question most things regarding human existence. Oh, and it meets all specific guidelines, like length.
