Editorial Focus
The writing and visual art at IthacaLit is the best work we have found from among the many submissions sent our way by emerging & established writers. We ask that you wander through IthacaLit: Lit with Art, and land where you feel at home. Use that place to connect your work first to us and next to our readers. We publish work that brings readers home. We are searching not for distance but for connection through a clear and forthright voice and vision. Simultaneous subs accepted, but please let us be the first to applaud you by informing us of the work's acceptance elsewhere.
Tips From the Editor
We want poetry, visual art, & creative non-fiction that shows depth & connection to the human condition, the reality of life on this earth & thoughtful projections of our deeper connections. Please do not submit lengthy prose poems, epic poems or creative non-fiction that has no grounding in a larger concept. We don't want jokey, light pieces of writing. We are very interested in interviews & writing that speaks to craft/process of writing.
