Aries is a nonprofit journal of art and literature published annually by Southeastern Community College.

Since 1969, Aries has showcased finely crafted works from North Carolina artists and writers.

Our mission is to celebrate North Carolinian writers and artists, to encourage student craft in the the fine arts, and to engage the public in the meaningful and rich heritage of art in Columbus County, NC. (Submissions outside NC okay.)

Tips From the Editor

Writing and art submissions: Email submissions as an attachment. Use Microsoft Word for literature. Use JPG format for art.

Include name, address, biography, phone number and email on the writing. All rights revert to authors. Previously published material is acceptable.

Poetry submissions are automatically considered for the Royce Ray Poetry Award. The judge for the spring 2013 issue is Pulitzer Prize nominated poet Vivian Shipley.
