haijinx is an international haikai journal dedicated to the hai of haiku and haikai. This hai, often expanded as "haikai spirit", means “playful” or “humorous” and haijinx highlights this particular feature of haikai poetry. There is simply no hai in haiku without some sense of humor, lightness, or playfulness. haijinx publishes around the solstices and equinoxes each year and accepts haiku, haibun, renga, renku & linked forms, as well as haiga & sumi-e.

Harbinger Asylum

Harbinger Asylum began as a poetry and arts magazine designed to find poets we could publish full-length collections from. We are very radical in our approach to begin in a print shop, then take to our own color laser printer until we settled on Print-on-Demand. We like poems that are outside of the norm, challenging traditional structures and promoting social justice. We also like the inner search for truth, and the personal quest for attainment in God.
