Submission Guidelines
Send a query letter and the first chapter of your novel via regular mail or e-mail to . If sending via regular mail include a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) for a response. If you want your material returned, include an SASE large enough to contain the submission. If sending via e-mail, no attachments. No phone or fax queries. Response time: three to four weeks.
Tips From the Agent
Please include a paragraph in your cover letter about yourself—your background, your publishing history, if any, and so forth. Mention that you found me through the Poets & Writers Literary Agents database. Keep the e-mail query letter to the equivalent of a page. Please send the very first chapter of your novel, not a middle chapter.
