National Translation Award

A prize of $2,500 is given annually to honor a translator whose work has made a valuable contribution to literary translation in the previous year. Publishers may submit four copies of a book-length translation of poetry, fiction, or creative nonfiction published in English in the United States or Canada in 2008 and a letter of nomination with a $25 entry fee by March 31. Grants for Artist Projects

Grants of up to $1,500 each are given annually to Washington State poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers to support the development of new work. Using the online submission system, submit up to eight pages of poetry, fiction, or creative nonfiction by June 25. There is no entry fee.
