Texas State University is a good, young program with loads of cash. Tim O'Brien is their main draw, Dennis Johnson will be there for a full year beginning in 2006. the other staff members, like Dagoberto Gelb etc, are also known to be solid instructors and writers. The environment at the school is, supposedly, supportive. And San Marcos is known to be a lovely town close to Austin. That said, I turned this program down as they offer no tuition waiver and have fewer students of note than some of the other schools that accepted me. At the same time, I am sure none of that really makes much of a difference and I have no doubt that anyone attending TSU would have a worthwhile experience. If you have other questions about the place or need some current students email addresses private message me. --miz
