who are the actual readers for the admission process? Can't Post

i'm hearing a mix of both current grad students and faculty members

anyone who actually "knows" care to comment on this?

It depends on the school. I've heard that Iowa uses graduate students for the first read-through.

I can say that Houston and Bennington do not allow anyone but the faculty to read, or even touch, those applications. At Houston, 3 faculty members each read the application, so it does take them some time to get through the hundreds of apps each year. (I think they usually have 3-4 hundred each time).

At Goddard it's all faculty.
