Nadom, are you in New York? New School writing program is hosting a cool thing tmw night: National Book Critics Circle: Reading and Awards Ceremony Reading: Thursday, March 17, 6:00 p.m., Tishman Auditorium, free Awards Ceremony and Reception:Friday, March 17, 6:00 p.m., Tishman Auditorium, free Every year, the National Book Critics Circle presents awards for the finest books published in English in the categories of: Fiction, General Nonfiction, Biography and Autobiography, Poetry, and Criticism. The first night, finalists read from their work. The second night, winners are announced at the awards ceremony. Hosted by the New School Graduate Writing Program. Maybe you could check it out, and there are bound to be folks from the program around to talk to. Also they have open houses from time to time (I went to one this winter) so you may want to check on that too.
