Assaracus: A Journal of Gay Poetry

ASSARACUS (ISSN 2159-0478). Each issue of Assaracus (pronounced ASS-UH-RACK-US),  a quarterly publication, features a substantial collection of work by ten gay poets. Assaracus provides a grand stage for gay contemporary poetry. We want, decades from now, people to look back and see how we lived through how we wrote.

Headmaster

Headmaster

Headmaster, the biannual art magazine for man-lovers, is published twice a year in an edition of 1,000.  All work in Headmaster is assigned by the editors.  Writers and artists interested in receiving homework assignment from the editors should submit a bio and writing samples via email.  Headmaster publishes roughly five text-based pieces per year.  Work published in the first two issues of Headmaster include erotica, film criticism, travel writing and memoir.  The editors of Headmaster are interested in other forms of writing as well.

Women in REDzine

We look for writing that is surprisingly exceptional, not necessarily the in your face brilliance, but the kind of writing that surprises you with story and a clear focus and voice. We love new writers, adore established writers, and embrace the I've-Never-Done-This-Before writers. If you have a story, a poem, an essay, or something that you haven't quite classified yet, but you think it could stand up to being read, then please submit it. Our staff loves to read!
