Author's Bio

Ms. Huddleston presented a workshop titled "20 Ways to Loose Your Muse" at the 54th Mid-South Poetry Festival on Oct. 1, 2011, and was judge for Best of the Fest. A board member of the Mississippi Writers Guild and a member of the Mississippi Poetry Society, Ms. Huddleston has read selections of her poetry at the Mississippi Writers Guild Conferences in Vicksburg, MS and in Jackson, MS; at the MPS Festivals in Ocean Springs, Lake Tiak O'Khata and Belhaven University in Jackson, and in Meridian at Literary Artists Onstage, Espresyo Soul, and Sage Coffee & Books. She was interviewed and read her poetry on Jesuschild blogtalk radio. Her poem, "The Earth Gives Thanks," was read on radio station WCJU, Columbia, MS on Thankgiving Day, 2009. Ms. Huddleston holds a master of music education degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and has studied graduate level creative writing at the University of West Alabama.

She has been published in over 60 publications including the Birmingham Arts Journal;Camroc Press Review; Gemini Magazine; The Harsh and the Heart-Celebrating Our Military (Silver Boomers); The New Fairy Tales Anthology (Aurora Wolf Press); and Orange Room Review.
