Winter Poetry & Prose Getaway

The 20th annual Winter Poetry & Prose Getaway will be held from January 18 to January 21, 2013, at Stockton Seaview Hotel, a resort in Galloway, New Jersey. The program, sponsored by the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and Murphy Writing Seminars, offers workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction as well as craft talks, one-on-one tutorials, featured readings, and open mikes. Workshop faculty include poets Stephen Dunn, Douglas Goetsch, Dorianne Laux, Laura McCullough, and James Richardson; fiction writers Michelle Cameron, Paul Lisicky, Carol Plum-Ucci, and Terese Svoboda; and creative nonfiction writers Barbara Hurd, Thomas Peele, and Mimi Schwartz. Tuition, which includes some meals, ranges from $485 to $685, depending on the workshop; lodging is not included. The cost for room and meal packages starts at $243.
