The 2013 Voices Summer Writing Workshops for writers of color, presented by the Voices of Our Nations Arts Foundation, will be held from June 23 to June 29 on the University of California campus in Berkeley. The program offers workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. The 2013 faculty includes poets Elmaz Abinader, Jimmy Santiago Baca, Ruth Forman, David Mura; fiction writers Junot Díaz, M. Evelina Galang, Mat Johnson, Jeffrey Renard Allen; and creative nonfiction writers Faith Adiele, and Staceyann Chin. In addition, two residencies are offered annually which allow writers individual mentorship opportunities. Tuition is $800 for the workshop, and $700 for the residency.
