Funding/Employment Opportunities: 

The program offers full funding through three-year teaching and graduate assistantships. All students have the opportunity to teach composition and creative writing. Each assistantship includes a full tuition waiver, health insurance, and annual stipend of more than $20,000.

The program hosts a visiting writers series, an MFA student reading series, and encourages students to engage in cross-genre work with courses in playwriting, creative nonfiction, new media creative writing, and literary editing.

Visiting writers for 2022-23 included Jon Lindsay, Brooks Sterritt, Douglas Kearney, Viet Than Ngyuen, Mary South, and Carrie Fountain.
