Editorial Focus

Verse Wisconsin publishes poetry and serves the community of poets
in Wisconsin and beyond.  In fulfilling our mission we:
• showcase the excellence and diversity of poetry rooted in or related to
• connect Wisconsin's poets to each other and to the larger
literary world
• foster critical conversations about poetry
• build and invigorate the audience for poetry

Tips From the Editor

Please read a sample of our online issues before submitting, as well as our submission guidelines. Video and visual poetry, prose about poetry, and book reviews are also considered. Online issues have themes (see guidelines) and more limited reading periods than the print journal, which reads Sept-May. The print and online issues are complementary but different. We consider a variety of styles and aesthetics. Note that contributors need not have a connection to WI, although we enjoy hearing your connections, however tenuous or tongue-in-cheek.
