The Vermont Studio Center offers two-week to three-month residencies to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers in Johnson, a village in the Green Mountains. Composed of 30 historic buildings on the banks of the Gihon River, the center provides time and space to write, as well as readings by and conferences with two visiting writers each month. Tuition for two weeks is $2,050 and $3,950 for four weeks, including room and board. Financial aid is available. The application deadline for full fellowships is October 3. Submit three copies of up to 10 pages of poetry or up to 15 pages of prose, a resumé, and contact information for three references with a $25 application fee.
