U.S. Poets in Mexico Conference

The 2014 U.S. Poets in Mexico Conference will be held from October 27 to October 31 at the Becari Language School in Oaxaca, Mexico. The conference features workshops in poetry, discussions, readings, and open mikes. Faculty includes poets Anselm Berrigan, Laure-Anne Bosselaar, Catherine Wagner, and translator Clare Sullivan. Poets Andrei Codrescu and Ron Silliman will lead discussions, and Mexican poets María Baranda, Rocío González, Guadalupe Ángela and Natalia Toledo will read. Poet Larry Fagin will conduct editing and writing consultations. Tuition, which includes workshops and discussions, is $600. Lodging costs are approximately $60 a night. Evening readings are free and open to the public. Registration is first come, first served; workshops are limited to 10 participants each. Visit the website for more information.
