The fourth annual U.S. Poets in Mexico Conference will be held from January 5 to January 12, 2013, at Hotel Caribe in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. The conference features workshops in poetry, discussions, readings, and open mikes. Faculty includes poets Anselm Berrigan, Nicole Cooley, Lynn Emanuel, Tom Sleigh, and translator Suzanne Jill Levine. Ron Silliman will lead discussions, and Mexican poets Mario Bojorquez, Ruben Marquez Maximo, Ambar Past, and Alvaro Solis will read. Tuition, which includes workshops and discussions, is $600. Lodging costs approximately $60 a night. Evening readings are free and open to the public. Submit four to six pages of poetry with a $25 application fee and a $200 refundable deposit by November 15.
