The 46th annual University of North Dakota Writers Conference was held from March 25 to March 27 in Grand Forks. The 2015 theme was “The Other Half.” The conference offered workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as panel discussions and readings. Participating authors included poets Tara Betts and Carol Muske-Dukes, fiction writers Bonnie Jo Campbell and Gish Jen, nonfiction writer Roxane Gay, and translator Alexandra Grant. Most events were held at the university’s Memorial Union, and all events were free and open to the public. Workshop space was limited; registration was first come, first served.
