The 44th annual University of North Dakota Writers Conference will be held from March 19 to March 23 in Grand Forks. This year’s theme is “A Portrait of the Artist.” The conference offers workshops in poetry and fiction, as well as panel discussions, a film festival, and readings. Participating writers include poets Mary Jo Bang and Ed Bok Lee, fiction writers Dorothy Allison and Richard Bausch, and creative nonfiction writers Nick Flynn, Gary Shteyngart, and Cheryl Strayed.
