The 45th annual University of North Dakota Writers Conference was held from April 2 to April 4 in Grand Forks. This year’s theme was “Imagine: A Literary Festival on the Prairie.” The conference offered workshops in poetry and fiction, as well as panel discussions and readings. Participating authors included poet Robert Pinsky and fiction writers Geoff Dyer, Jessica Lott, Brian Maxwell, and Colson Whitehead. Most events were held at the university’s Memorial Union, and all events were free and open to the public. Workshop space was limited; registration was first come, first served.
