The 47th annual University of North Dakota Writers Conference was held from April 6 to April 8 on the UND campus in Grand Forks, North Dakota. This year’s theme was “The Art of Science.” The conference featured workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as panel discussions and readings. Participating authors included poet Katharine Coles; fiction writers Frank Huyler, Tania James, and Kim Stanley Robinson; and nonfiction writer Brian Greene. Most events were held at the university’s Memorial Union, and all events were free and open to the public. Workshop space was limited; registration was first come, first served. Lodging was available for discounted rates at nearby hotels. Send an SASE, call, e-mail, or visit the website for more information.
