The 10th annual Tinker Mountain Writers’ Workshop was held from June 7 to June 12 on the campus of Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. The conference featured workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as craft seminars, individual conferences with faculty members, and readings. The faculty included poets Thorpe Moeckel and Emilia Phillips; fiction writers Laura Benedict, Pinckney Benedict, Sarah Bowlin, and Fred Leebron; creative nonfiction writer James McKean; and fiction and nonfiction writers Khris Baxter and Daniel Mueller. The cost of tuition was $795. Housing was available on campus for $225 for the week or in nearby hotels beginning at $60 to $70 per night. A campus meal plan was available for $200. Writers submitted the required application form and a $500 deposit to be used toward tuition by May 4. Registration was first come, first served.
