The Writer’s Hotel Master Class in Fiction, Nonfiction & Poetry was held from June 10 to June 16 in New York City at The Bryant Park Hotel, Library Hotel, and the Algonquin. The master class offered workshops, craft lectures, panels, and seminars in poetry, fiction, and nonfiction, as well as one-on-one meetings with agents, and student readings and walking tours in New York City. The faculty included poet Stephen Dunn, fiction writers Shanna McNair and Scott Wolven, and nonfiction writers Elyssa East and Richard Hoffman. Guest lecturers included poets Kathleen Aguero and Wesley McNair, poet and essayist Barbara Hurd, and filmmaker Zach Zamboni, as well as acquisition editors and agents. The cost of tuition was $2,500. Using the online submission system, writers submitted at least 20 pages of a manuscript and a bio by April 17. There was no application fee. Registration was limited.
