The Writer’s Hotel Master Class in Fiction & Nonfiction was held from June 12 to June 17 in New York City at the Algonquin Hotel, the Bryant Park Hotel, and the Library Hotel. The master class offered classes, lectures, participant readings, and seminars in fiction and nonfiction, as well as one-on-one meetings with agents and walking tours of New York City. The faculty included fiction writers Elyssa East, Shanna McNair, and Scott Wolven; and nonfiction writer Richard Hoffman. Participants of the master class included acquisition editors and agents from five agencies. The cost of tuition was $2,500. Applicants submitted via email at least 20 pages of a prose manuscript, a synopsis, and a bio. There was no application fee. Limited lodging at participating hotels was available at discounted rates.
