The Tehran International Book Fair, which kicked off earlier this week, attracts half a million visitors per day. The Guardian takes a look at the scene of the widely attended annual event following a recent government crackdown on Iranian writers and publishers. 

Recently discovered draft pages of Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s Little Prince, on display at a Paris auction house, reveal the children’s classic to be “a book against war.” (Associated Press)

New literary social community site LitFactor aims to reduce the size of rejection note and slush piles by connecting writers with agents. Currently in beta form, the fully launched site will allow writers to rate and review agents, while giving agents the opportunity to alert writers on submissions policy changes. (The Bookseller

In anticipation for Mother’s Day on May 13, Flavorwire spotlights ten of the best memoirs about mothers

The Hunger Games trilogy dominates Amazon Kindle’s Most Highlighted Passages of All Time List, accounting for eight of the top ten passages. The only nontrilogy book to break the top ten? Pride and Prejudice. (GalleyCat)
