The 15th annual Taos Summer Writers’ Conference will be held from July 14 to July 21 at the Sagebrush Inn and Conference Center in Taos, New Mexico. The conference offers weekend and weeklong workshops in poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and publishing, as well as readings, professional consultations, and a visit to the nearby D. H. Lawrence Ranch. The faculty includes poets Amy Beeder, Joy Harjo, Hilda Raz, Luci Tapahonso, and Ouida Touchon; fiction writers Jonis Agee, Robert Boswell, Laura Brodie, John Dufresne, Pam Houston, Frank Huyler, Wally Lamb, Priscilla Long, Demetria Martinez, Daniel Mueller, Antonya Nelson, and Summer Wood; and creative nonfiction writers Stephen Benz, BK Loren, Emily Rapp, and Brent Spencer, as well as publishing professionals Elise McHugh (University of New Mexico Press), Allison Hunter and Alexis Hurley (Inkwell Management), Andy Ross (Andy Ross Agency), and editor Jane Von Mehren. Each workshop is limited to 12 participants. Tuition is $350 for a weekend workshop, $650 for a weeklong workshop, or $975 for both. Room rates range from $69 to $109 per day.
