The Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation and the Berkshire Waldorf High School offer two residencies of 8 to 12 weeks in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, to fiction writers whose work is influenced by the American South, Western, or Mountain states. One residency will start in September 2015, the other in February 2016. Writers who have completed or are pursuing a graduate degree in creative writing, or have completed an undergraduate degree in creative writing in the past five years, are eligible. The resident will be provided with a $250 weekly stipend and a one-bedroom apartment. Transportation and meals are not provided. The resident will teach two master classes every week at the Berkshire Waldorf High School. Submit via e-mail a short story or a chapter from a novel, a one-page artist statement, résumé, and contact information for two references by May 30. There is no entry fee.
