The seventh biennial Skagit River Poetry Festival was held from May 17 to May 20 at various venues in La Conner, Washington. The festival includes workshops in poetry, roundtable discussions, conversations, and readings. Participating poets in 2012 included Ellen Bass, Carolyn Forché, Tony Hoagland, and Patrick Lane.
