The Sirenland Writers Conference was held from March 17 to March 23 at the Le Sirenuse Hotel in Positano, Italy, located 35 miles south of Naples on the Amalfi Coast. The conference offered readings, panels, and workshops in fiction and creative nonfiction. The faculty included fiction writers Dani Shapiro and Jim Shepard, creative nonfiction writer Susan Orlean, and One Story editor Hannah Tinti. Tuition was $3,600, which included lodging and some meals. Writers submitted a work sample of up to 7,000 words and a statement of purpose with a $10 application fee by October 31.
