Rose & Thorn seeks to bring the voices of emerging & established writers to a discerning audience, reflecting a diversity of style, content, and perspective in the work showcased in our Journal. For more on our mission statement, visit our website.
We also have a new Art Director: Alaine Bernard, who showcases both new and established artists, and as with our poetry and prose, our art is an eclectic blend, and is in a variety of mediums.
Tips From the Editor
Please read our guidelines! We are an eclectic mix, and really quite nice editors, but if you do not follow our guidelines, it makes us grumpy. Note that we now accept from December 1 through February 28 for our spring issue, which goes live May 15; and we accept June 1 - August 31 for our fall issue, which goes live November 15. We are now a semi-annual (2x a year) publication.
