The Renaissance House Residency Program, sponsored by the Helene and Dorothy West Foundation for Artists in Need, offers residencies of one or two weeks from June to September to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers in Oak Bluffs on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. The residency includes classes, lectures, and time to write. The faculty includes poet Robert Pinsky, fiction writer Elizabeth Benedict, and creative nonfiction writers Susan Klein and Jill Nelson. Certain weeks are dedicated to specific groups of writers, such as parents and writers with AIDS. The residency fee is $700 per week, which includes three meals a day. Applications are considered on a rolling basis, and there is no application fee. Send an SASE, call, or e-mail for more information.
