Ragdale
The Ragdale Foundation offers residencies of two to six weeks from June through September to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers on 50 acres of prairie in Lake Forest, Illinois, 30 miles north of Chicago. Residents are provided with a private room and meals. The residency fee is $35 per day. Financial aid is available. Using the online submission system, submit 10 poems totaling no more than 20 pages or up to 20 pages of prose, a résumé, a writer’s statement, and two one-page letters of recommendation (sent directly to Ragdale by the references) with a $40 application fee by January 15.
