Two prizes of $1,000 each and publication in the CSU Poetry Series are given annually for poetry collections. The First Book Prize is open to poets who have not yet published a book. Rae Armantrout will judge. Friends and current and former students of the First Book judge are not eligible. The Open Competition is open to poets who have published at least one poetry collection of 48 pages or more with a press run of at least 500 copies. Kazim Ali, Mary Biddinger, Michael Dumanis, and Sarah Gridley will judge. Submit a manuscript of 48 to 100 pages with a $25 entry fee by February 15.
