The PEN World Voices Festival will be held from April 29 to May 5 at various venues throughout New York City. The 2012 program featured readings, conversations, and panels with 100 international writers including poets Yusef Komunyakaa; fiction writers Jennifer Egan, Michael Cunningham, Mahmoud Dowlatabadi, Etgar Keret, Karl Ove Knausgaard, Herta Müller, Salman Rushdie, Gary Shteyngart, and Colson Whitehead; and creative nonfiction writer Marjane Satrapi. Many events are free and open to the public. Ticketed events ranged from $10 to $30; discounts are available for PEN members. Visit the website for information about the 2013 festival.
